Long Daycare & Kindergarten Enrolment Info

Joining a kindergarten program is an important decision for both parents and children. At Edu-Play Early Learning Centre, we strive to make the enrollment process as simple and seamless as possible. Here's a step-by-step guide to enrolling your child in our program:

1. Research and Visit: The first step in the enrollment process is to research different long daycare and kindergarten options in your area and schedule visits to these centers. During your visit, pay close attention to:

✔️ the environment,
✔️staff interactions with children,
✔️number of children per educator,
✔️curriculum.
✔️children's attitude and involvement in learning activities
✔️consistency or educators across the week and year
✔️cleanliness,

2. Complete an Application: After you have chosen a center, you will need to complete an enrollment application. This application will ask for basic information about your child, emergency contacts, and any special needs or allergies your child may have.

3. Schedule a Meet and Greet: Once we receive your application, we will schedule a meet and greet with you and your child. This is a great opportunity for you to meet our staff, ask any questions you may have, and allow your child to explore the childcare environment.

4. Enrollment Fee and Paperwork: To secure your child's spot in our program, you will need to pay the first two week's fees in advance. In addition, you will need to fill out additional paperwork, such as emergency contact forms, medical consent forms, and immunization records.

5. Orientation Period: You and your child visit the centre three times over a one week period and at different times of the day. This is an opportunity for your child to become familiar with our routines and form bonds with the children and educators. This also allows both you and your child to feel comfortable with the decision before committing to a full-time enrollment. There is no charge for orientation visits.

6. Start Date: Once all necessary paperwork and orientation is completed, your child's start date will be scheduled. On their first day, make sure to pack any necessary items, such as a drink bottle, change of clothes, raincoat/hat and a comfort item from home.

At Edu-Play Early Learning Centre, we understand that enrolling your child in a new program can be overwhelming.
